Course overview

Archicad is a Building Information Modelling (BIM) software developed by Graphisoft. Archicad allows users to model and attach useful information to various objects/elements. Archicad has an enriched interface that allows users to smoothly develop models as they should be in real life.  

Being a BIM software, Archicad can be used by various professionals in the industry for BIM projects. It can be used by architects and engineers for architectural and structural design. It can also be used by estimators and contractors for scheduling and extracting accurate quantities. 

This course covers the architectural part of Archicad for architectural modelling. It is a comprehensive course that ensures that those who use it to learn are able to produce intelligent architecture models that can be in a position to hold important information. About 30 hours were dedicated to teaching Archicad Modelling. 

The course is divided into various sections with the main section being the Modelling using various elements such as walls, beams, columns, stairs, slabs, curtain walls, doors and windows and other elements.    

This course takes the form of "explain and illustrate" where concepts are explained and illustrated. There are limited exercises but a learner can initiate their own exercise from what they understand.

This course is suitable for those who want to expand their knowledge of Archicad. It is also suitable for absolute beginners who need to understand Archicad. This course is suitable for students in the built environment who want to learn Archicad and also those who are already in the industry. 

The course is created by a tutor who is ready to assist learners from the word Go. Learners can message the tutor in case they have a query. Learners and tutors of this course can interact in a discussion forum where they can share queries.
