This course introduces beginners to Revit MEP, focusing on practical modeling of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using real building workflows. No prior Revit experience is required.
This course introduces learners to Revit MEP as a core BIM tool used in the design and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in real-world building projects. It bridges the gap between MEP theory and practical digital modeling, enabling learners to understand how building services are developed, coordinated, and documented in professional environments.
The course is delivered through a practical, hands-on teaching approach, where concepts are demonstrated and immediately applied through guided exercises and a structured project-based assignment. Learners will work on a simple building project that reflects common industry workflows, ensuring skills gained are directly applicable to design offices and construction projects.
Key areas covered include Revit MEP fundamentals, system setup, mechanical services modeling, electrical power and lighting modeling, plumbing and drainage modeling, basic clash awareness, and drawing production. The course structure allows learners to progress from basic tools to coordinated MEP systems.
Upon completion, learners will gain entry-level Revit MEP competence, enabling them to participate in BIM-based MEP projects, support senior engineers or BIM coordinators, and enhance their employability in the building services industry.
